Brewery Bhavana opened in Raleigh and has since changed the definition of “brewery”. Along with the brewery, taproom, and dim sum restaurant, other shops have been incorporated into the business, such as a flower shop and a book store. Brewery Bhavana was listed as one of the best new restaurants in the country shortly after opening.

Abstract:
Foy Allen Edelman of Raleigh, North Carolina has published two cookbooks focusing on recipes from almost every county in North Carolina. This five-year long journey began with collecting recipes from civic organizations, archival research, and sitting down to talk with people in their kitchens. She has since donated her entire collection to the Martha Blakeney Hodges Special Collections at Walter Clinton Jackson Library at University of North Carolina Greensboro.

The Goodness Grows in North Carolina program is sponsoring the first statewide “Best Dish in NC” contest to determine who serves the finest local fare. There are eight restaurants in the final round, and each finalist will serve and feature their entry dish at their restaurant for four weeks. A list and description of the eight restaurants and feature dishes is provided in this article.
