Reverend Morgan Edwards was a prolific American Baptist Preacher in Colonial America. He toured the country writing his notes and impressions of Baptists across the different provinces. Reprinted here is Tour of Morgan Edwards, of Pennsylvania, to the American Baptists in North Carolina in 1772-73 which is heavily footnoted by Mr. Pashcal to highlight errors in Edwards' work.

This paper looks at the importance of the three-day educational convention that met in the First Baptist Church of Raleigh beginning on Tuesday, February 11, 1873.
This article attempts to compensate for a hole in available scholarship on the subject of North Carolina Academies with an examination of Baptist Academies and Baptist approaches to education. The article lists and examines the establishment of several specific academies established in the 19th century and as late as 1905.
