Abstract:
This is a reprint of \"The Continuation of the Impartial Relation of the First Rise and Cause of the Recent Differences in Publik [sic] Affairs in the Province of North Carolina, Second Part,\" by Hermon Husband and printed in 1770. The Introduction establishes the document as being produced by Husband, a leading champion of the Regulators during the period of popular uprising in North Carolina between 1765 and 1771, and suggests that it is the primary source of knowledge of the Regulator's side in the conflict between Regulators and Royalists. Background information on the document and its author are also included in the introduction.

Abstract:
Elizabeth Maxwell Steel of Salisbury is said to have provided much need accommodation and support to Nathaniel Greene as he retreated northward in front of the advancing army of Cornwallis in February 1781. This articles recounts the erection of a monument in her honor in 1911 by the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her wartime letters provide evidence of her sentiments in favor of the Patriot cause.

Abstract:
The the westward expansion of America was aided by two one-time residents of North Carolina: Daniel Boone and Richard Henderson. Though they differed in background and origins, the two became acquainted as early settlers of Rowan County. Their combined and related efforts helped open areas west of the mountains to settlement.
