Speaking of better building standards, that took a residential tone as local building professionals met for a seminar. NC's 1995 General Assembly faced elections yields that were a conglomerate of national and local interests. The national and local legislative wish list focused on reforms to taxation, welfare, governmental operations, and bureaucratic operations. NC’s voters sought improvements in their design and construction industries. The item on their wish list: single prime contracts, boasted to be more time and cost efficient than multi-prime contracts.

Higher education institutions in North Carolina have become more cognizant about meeting its soldiers’ need for education and sensitive to the strong presence of the military in the state. Among the programs Fayetteville Technical Community College offers to soldiers from Fort Bragg are Carpentry and Renovation, Heat Pump Technology, and OSHA 30 construction.

The ships’ identity was confirmed by items such as cannons and structural evidence concealed by coral reef encroaching the wrecked watercraft. Based upon a North Carolina Museum of History exhibit, this article examines how Lewis Hine’s expose of child labor exploitation in North Carolina’s textile mills contributed to stronger child labor laws. It also reveals that child labor is a current history issue, making whistleblowing initiatives of individuals like Hine still crucial.

Motivated by the Tower’s national and local historical relevance, as well as its current need for a larger, more modernized space, AIA renovated its facility. As open to this profile was a brief history of the century old Tower. What followed was a before-after style presentation of the renovation project. This presentation showcased the extensive interior improvements of the Entry/Reception, Executive Director’s Office, Board Room, Office, and Library.
