Abstract:

In order to determine the effect of removing rough fish on the population growth rate of game species, biologists must first work on removing those rough species, namely grindle, carp, and gar from test areas. An operation of nets is placed to remove the fish.

Abstract:

In Mount Airy, juvenile delinquency was a budding problem. A group of law enforcement officers took it upon themselves to round up juveniles who had been in trouble and take them fishing. The rate of juvenile delinquency has decreased as a result.

Abstract:

In 1897, the state's last native beavers were trapped in Stokes County. Several unsuccessful attempts to reintroduce beavers were made in the early 20th century. However, in 1939, 29 beavers from Pennsylvania were released in the Sandhills Wildlife Management Area near Rockingham. By 1949, 385 beavers were counted. Wildlife biologists do not expect beavers to spread over the state from this nucleus.
