The husband and wife pair discuss their experiences during World War 2. James Victor Rowney discusses his experience serving in the United States Navy during the war, his opinion of Adolf Hitler and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, learning of the existence of Nazi concentration camps, the bombing of Hiroshima, and friends who experienced Japanese prisoner-of-war camps, among other topics. Dorothy Rowney discusses the role of women on the homefront, working in the aircraft factories, rationing, and worrying for her husband's safety. Both Rowneys also discuss their lack of knowledge of the Japanese internment camps during the war and their criticism of the act. Date approximated.
