Description
Video files of a video interview with James Victor Rowney. Rowney discusses some family history, his childhood, his experiences as a cadet in the United States Naval Academy, including playing lacrosse for the USNA, his experiences during World War 2, his service during the Korean War, and his family life. Of note are Rowney's emotional responses during his discussion of losing a friend during the Korean War and his son, John Rowney, in an aerial accident during the 1960s, and his support of his other son, James Rowney, who was a conscientious objector during the Vietnam War, despite Rowney's own service, and conflict between his service to his country and his marriage.
