Description: Second half of raw footage of Professor of History and University Historian John A. Tucker's interview with former Senator Robert Morgan. Morgan speaks about some of his teachers at ECTC, his sister's career as a special education teacher, his role as Leo Jenkins' ally in the state senate in the effort to gain university status for East Carolina College, and how they overcame opposition to their goal. Morgan also relates an anecdote about traveling to New Jersey to file Terry Sanford's candidacy in their presidential primary and the repercussions of that decision, and makes observations about the United States' position and role in the contemporary world environment and his hopes and predictions for future developments. Interview date November 21, 2008.
