Description: From author: I am a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, especially regarding mental health and suicide, areas which are personal to me. I was Co-Coordinator of the North Carolina Conference on LGBTQ+ Suicide Risk and Prevention, I established and facilitated a LGBTQ+ support group, and I created a clinical guide for mental health professionals working with the LGBTQ+ community. I especially enjoy presenting workshops and presentations about the LGBTQ+ community and how we can create safe spaces.
