Description: The Indianola Inn, situated just outside Littleton in Warren County, North Carolina, was a forerunner of the famous Panacea Springs Spa Hotel. Thomas Whitmell Harris founded it in the 1870s and owned it until his death in 1890. The hotel had more than 100 rooms, and people came from miles around to "seek the cure" of the restorative mineral spring water. Date approximated.
