I live on Budd Fields Rd. approximately 2.5 miles from Seven Springs Hotel. I do not know if I'm related to Dan P. Boyette Sr.I wish that it was possible to walk up to motel and see it! It still standing. I think the land is posted.
Today I found an old letter dated July 11, 1922 addressed to my great-grandfather, Dan P. Boyette, Sr., from the Seven Springs Hotel (on Seven Springs letterhead) mentioning the rates for a stay. At the top of the page under the Seven Springs Hotel title, it says "Raymond Maxwell, Proprietor." Very interesting.
according to my mother,Elizabeth Uzzell Griffin, her father owned this hotel,Major Uzzell. He also owned the Pickard Hotel in Chapel Hill,NC. He died in 1928-29 from pneumonia due to a fire that destroyed the Pickard.
I live 4 miles from Seven Springs. It's just an old hotel that is about to fall down now.
Is any of it still there. My parents stayed there years ago and we were looking to see if any remnants remained
