This photograph is mislabeled as "Female Soldier in a Military Uniform." This woman is clearly wearing someone else's uniform cover and jacket. The cover does not fit and neither does the jacket. The jacket displays infantry branch insignia and the combat infantryman's badge; women were not allowed as infantry officers in WW2. Her skirt and sweater worn under the jacket are civilian pattern materials.
