Description: Program from premiere season of Kermit Hunter's historical drama The Bell and the Plow, which was held at University of Arizona Auditorium in Tuscon.The drama centers on Jesuit missionary Father Eusedio Kino and his dynamic zeal to build a Christian civilization in the desert country of what is now northern Mexico and Arizona. This was Hunter’s fourth production and featured music written by Jack Frederick Kilpatrick, a Cherokee composer who also wrote the music for Unto These Hills.
