Description: Letter from George Attmore Sparrow in Falkland, NC to his father Thomas Sparrow. George writes to his father to say that he sent Tom down to Washington, NC with a mule and cart for the barrel of pork, or at least 50 pounds of pork if the barrel is not there. He says that Tom wants two shirts and pair of shoes for himself. George also asks if his father can come to visit and see his crops the next week. From the papers of Thomas Sparrow (1819-1884), a lawyer from Washington, N.C. who fought in the Civil War and later represented Beaufort County in the North Carolina General Assembly.
