Description: Andrew Ross was one of the three great early 19th-century English achromatic microscope manufacturers. This very large instrument dates from the period in which he was active. The bar limb design and claw foot are typical of his instruments. This microscope is missing the eye guard and the top of the mechanical stage. The serial number is 434.
