Description
Pillischer was a well regarded manufacturer of microscopes from 1851. This instrument was designed for the Great London Exhibition of 1862 to demonstrate that a quality instrument could be made at a reasonable price for student use. It is a bar limb design with a movable slide holder. It has a spring loaded nose fine adjustment controlled by the horizontal knob. The serial number is 1245.
