Description: Dermatologic stereoview card. Front of card depicts a man with Acne Indurata on his back. The reverse of the card describes the dermatologic conditions as well as the diagnosis and treatment. Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the sebaceous glands characterized by an eruption of papules, tubercles, and small and large pustules, intermitted usually with Comedones. Treatment included tonics, incision of all pustules, deep or superficial, daily expression of the Comedones. Also lotion containing zinc sulphate, potassium sulphid or liquor calcis sulphurtae and sapo mollis. Exposure to X-rays was used sparingly.
