The reverse of the card describes the dermatologic conditions as well as the diagnosis and treatment. Ecthyma is the name given to a specific type of cutaneous pyogenic infection characterized by an eruption of deep seated pustules with markedly inflammatory, hard, bright red bases and areolate.
