Description: The front of this card depicts a lovely young woman, dressed in a white dress and white bonnet, gazing out at you while holding an inhaler in her hands. The phrase "Catarrh, Neuralgia and Headache, No More" display at the top and at the bottom it states "Cushman's Menthol Inhaler -- Cures diseases of the head including Hay-Fever, Colds, Bronchitis. Manufactured by H.D. Cushman, Three Rivers, Michigan." The reverse of the card states "Menthol is the active principle of Oil Peppermint, Very volatile at ordinary temperature. Cushman's Menthol Inhaler is so constructed that crystals of pure menthol are held in a glass tube in such loose conditions that air passes freely through them, and is thoroughly mentholized, conveying enough menthol to the delicate membranes and nerves throughout the head, throat and lungs to produce the cool and exhilerating effect peculiar to oil peppermint, affording quick relief of inflammatory diseases; destroying disease germs and miasm, and curing diseases mentioned on other side of this card. The Inhaler is neat, clean, durable. Does not require renewing. Convenient to carry in the pocket, ready to use at any time. Lasts eight to twelve months." Price 50 cents. H.D.
