Description: The William B. Umstead Bridge spanning the Croatan Sound connecting Manns Harbor and Manteo will be closed for traffic for sometime after a barge hit the bridge severely damaging it. The Coast Guard cutter, Pt. Brown guards the bridge (at right of photo) preventing persons from going under the structure.
