Title: Invalid feeder
Identifier: DAO14359 (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/14359)
Description: This invalid feeder is designed to look like a fish. The mouth of the fish serves as the opening for the feeder; the tail of the fish curves around to form the feeder’s handle. Invalid feeders were popular in homes during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and were used to care for those who could not feed themselves. The spout was placed in the invalid’s mouth, allowing delivery of liquid or semi-solid foods.
