Exercise pins

Exercise pins
These bowling shaped exercise pins from India were very popular in America and Europe in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. They even made an appearance in the 1904 Olympics! Special exercises were developed and clubs were formed to use the pins. They sometimes weigh up to 50 pounds and are appropriate for use by men and women alike. Today the pins are used by jugglers in their routines.
