Windsor, a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1941, discusses World War II service in the USS COLORADO and the USS McLANAHAN, flight training in 1943, and service with the fleet in the South Pacific during 1944 and 1945. Post war commentary centers on assignment to Admiral Marc Mitscher's staff, service during the Korean War operating off of the USS YORKTOWN, duty aboard the USS SARATOGA in the Mediterrian during the Lebanon Crisis of 1958, staff assignment to COMFAIRJAX, test pilot school, setting the national jet speed record, and service in the USS INDEPENDENCE off Vietnam.
