Collection of scanned digital photographs depicting several generations of the Wiley Howell Cobb (1819-1897) and wife Elizabeth Joyner Cobb Family of Farmville and Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina. Originals were not included in the donation.
Scope and arrangement
This collection of scanned digital images was created by our Digital Collections Department from original photographs contained in a scrapbook. The original photographs were not included in the donation.
The scanned photographs are of several generations of the Wiley Howell Cobb (1819-1897) and wife Elizabeth Joyner Cobb Family of Farmville and Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina (N.C.). Included are Charles Cobb and wife John Anna Moore Cobb, Kinchen Wiley Cobb and wife Dorothy Long Cobb, and Charles D. Cobb and wife Jane Eloise Tobias Cobb and their children David, Toby, Kin and Jeff Cobb. Also included is the boyhood home of Dr. Henry Wood Tobias in Donaldson, Pennsylvania. He was the father of Jane Eloise Tobias Cobb. Locations in photographs include Pitt Street in Greenville, N.C., Duke University in Durham, N.C., and Sebec Lake, Maine.
