The ECU Libraries archival collections contain the East Carolina Manuscript Collection, the Laupus Library History Collections, the Country Doctor Museum, the University Archives, and the North Carolina Collection. These combined holdings include over 2,000 collections of primary source material such as letters, diaries, photographs, oral histories, maps, and records that document the history of North Carolina, rural health care, worldwide military events, student life, and official East Carolina University operations.
Each collection guide contains a link to request materials that you wish to view in person. Each repository has its own location, hours, and policies for providing access to its collections. Please consult the repository with questions about using the materials. Collections are non-circulating and must be used in the repository’s reading room.
