Allium canadense L.; Hariot p.17 “. . . also Leekes differing little from our in England . . . we eat . . . naturall inhabitants never.”; The most logical candidate for this plant is “Wild Onion” Allium canadense L. I believe that our Wild Onion is much smaller in stature than European Leeks.
