Greene, Henry (Henrie): ; Henry/Henrie Greene is only mentioned by Barlowe in this one instance as one of the gentlemen of the company on the 1584 Roanoke Expedition under Philip Amadas and Arthur Barlowe. Astonishingly, Quinn’s normally extensive notations fail the reader on this occasion, and he offers no cross-referencing, footnotes, or any additional insight at all as to the identity of this particular character in the fascinating tale of the Roanoke Voyages. ;
