Browewich/Bremige, Iames: ; James Browewich is listed by Barlowe as one of the gentlemen of the company on the 1584 Roanoke Expedition under Philip Amadas and Arthur Barlowe. Quinn speculates that Browewich may be an alternate spelling of “Bremige,” thus making James Browewich and the Master Bremige, mentioned in the Tiger journal as one of the “principall Gentlemen of our companie” on the 1585 voyage, one and the same. ;
