Abstract:
A new social district law was passed in September 2021, allowing an establishment to open "well-defined areas in which individuals can drink alcoholic beverages sold by permitted establishments." In the spirit of this new law, cities across North Carolina, including Greensboro, Durham, and Raleigh, have all adopted this idea, creating their own hub of downtown social districts.
