Mrs. Mary Lee of New Bern uses eggshells as an artistic medium. From finch eggs to ostrich eggs, Lee masterfully decorates elaborate settings such as garden, ski-slope, and Nativity scenes on the interior and ornately adorns the exteriors as well.

Abstract:
Ed Macomber has a varied background. He has an art degree from Wagner College in New York City, served with the U.S. Marines, married a Morehead City woman, sold Toyotas for fourteen years, and he has owned a New Bern art-supply store for fifteen more years. Ten years ago his art community friends convinced him to sell the store and paint for a living. He has been twice-honored by the North Carolina Watercolor Society. Macomber does not focus on one subject, such as sea landscapes, but paints from a limitless supply of subject matter.

Abstract:
A pioneering female photographer, with a body of work including 600,000 photographs, also left behind the clapboard house where her career began. Among the accomplishments her historic house became the site of was designing the first Pepsi-Cola logo for the pharmacist who invented the beverage.
