But North Carolina is facing the struggle, and plans to win it with a specially designated building--the State Records Center. On more than 10 miles of shelves, the State Department of Archives and History stores and services 29000 cubic feet of inactive records for state agencies.

According to data compiled by the Tax Foundation, Inc., it cost approximately $45 billion a year to meet the payroll for the 9.5 million federal, state, and local government civilian employees. More than one out of every seven employed persons in the US today work for their federal, state, or local government. And nationwide, 39 cents out of every $1 of every state and local government spending goes to the salaries of public employees.

Abstract:
Ideal Cement Company has a new plant at Castle Hayne to cook Eastern Carolina marl into high quality modern cement. The company will be turning out 3.5 million barrels of cement a year at Castle Hayne from an over over 450 foot long and 12 feet wide over, using 300 tons of coal and thousands of kilowatt hours of electricity a day.
