MINUTES OF THE STAFF MEETING OF THE PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT

January 6, 1964

The staff of the Psychology Department met in Rawl 232 at 4 o'clock p.m.,
Monday, January 6, 1964,

Present: Dr. Clinton R. Prewett, Chairman, Mr. Robert Graham, Dr. C. T.
Martoccia, Dr. Willie Mae Gillis, Dr. Ruby Bliss, Dr. Jacob
Mandel, Dr. John R. Clarke, Dr. Benjamin Allen, Mr. Larry Byrd,
Dr. A. V. Griffith, Mr. C. R. Dixon, Mrs. Hazel Stapleton,
My. Ed Nicholson, Dr. Julia Marshall; Teaching Fellows Larry
Whitlock, Gene Wood, Dan Winslow, and Franklin Sadlack.

1) Dr. Prewett made a report of various background efforts in psychology
to secure research funds for the clinical program and for initiating
a new program in mental retardation.

2) Dr. Prewett appointed an Admissions and Thesis Committee to make a
report at the February meeting. On this Committee were:

Dr. C. T. Martoccia, Chairman
Mr. Robert Graham
Dr. John R. Clarke
Dr. Benjamin Allen

3) Assignments were made for the development of sylabbi for certain
courses.
