Ms. Linda Wells

Director

Nelson County Civic Center
321 South Third Street
Bardstown, KY 40004

Dear Linda:

Thank you for your help in arranging for use of the Nelson County Civic Center by
the 1991 National Outdoor Drama Conference on Friday, October 25, 1991. As you
know, we are reserving the Civic Center as an alternate space in the event of
inclement weather.

I have enclosed a copy of the Facility Use Request Form for your information.

A check in the amount of $100 is being drawn by our University accounting office.
As soon as I receive that check, I will send it, along with the original request
form, to the Nelson County Fiscal Court.

I understand that the $100 deposit will be fully refunded if we do not use the
space and that cancellation of our reservation is possible as late as Friday
morning, October 25, 1991, without charge.

The schedule for the afternoon of Friday, October 25 is as follows:

12:00 - 1:00pm Lunch (catered by Kurtz Restaurant)
Civic Center to provide serving tables
: 00 00pm Question & answer session
:00 :00pm The Stephen Foster Singers
Bee : 30pm Panel session
:30 45pm Break
245 :00pm Panel session

Again, many thanks for your help on these arrangements, Linda.

Sincerely,

Judy Via
Administrative Secretary

do We know for sure that the room has 65-70 chairs? minimum-

in that we hope to have 65-70 people in the room at one time,

we actually need 100 chairs so that people are not packed in
like fisn in a can - we need to have it in writing that

we'll have 100 chairs in the room, provided by the Civic Center.

be sure to state how we want the room set up:

Theatre style

Head table with five chairs

I have no idea whether or not we'll need a mike, podium
and speakers. I would hope not, but can the Civic Center
provide those three items . . . have them set up for us
on our arrival ... if in fact we do arrive? Charge?

who is going to provide tables for Kurtz to set up on?
Civic Center?

don't forget to indicate on the form which room we want
reserved.

and in the appropriate blank space, how we want the room

st up .. . see 2 above.

Lnda Wells at the Civic Center is hard to reach, I've
left two messages since Tuesday.

Scott,

If she calls this morning, would you talk with her about
the space she's got in mind for us. We had talked about

using the audxkmxxux axx auditorium, flat floor, stage,
with 300 portable chairs. Is that what they call the
"MAIN ROOM"?

Will that be suitable for all our activities - lunch,
singers, and panel sessions???

I think there is a charge for the other rooms, or of they
kk have to do any setup for us...
