Elias Carr papers: Correspondence and receipts, January-February 1867
Description
Correspondence and receipts of former North Carolina Governor Elias Carr of Sparta, N.C. primarily for his farm and business interests. Most of the material is related to the production and sale of cotton, but receipts are present as well for rye whiskey, lumber, and a bell. Also included in the correspondence are copies of Cornwall & Zerega's Weekly Report of the New York Cotton Market for the weeks ending February 1st and February 8th, 1867.
