Correspondence and receipts of former North Carolina Governor Elias Carr of Sparta, N.C. primarily for his farm and business interests. Most of the material is related to the production and sale of cotton, but receipts are present as well coffee and beef. Also included in the correspondence are copies of Cornwall & Zerega's Weekly Report of the New York Cotton Market for the weeks ending June 1st, June 15th, and November 23rd, 1866.
