Hatteras Ferry substitutes for bridge

A North Carolina Department of Transportation ferry, the Hatteras, makes a run loaded with passengers across the Croatan Sound Thursday afternoon. The state will use the World War II vintage landing craft along with another to shuttle persons from Manns Harbor to Manteo.
