Abstract:
In 1996, what is believed to be the remains of Blackbeard's flagship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, was discovered about a mile off Beaufort Inlet, lying in twenty-five feet of water. Rectenwald describes the Queen Anne's Revenge Dive Down program, which was founded in 2005 and gives experienced recreational divers a chance to visit and learn more about the ship.

Abstract:
The shipwreck in Beaufort inlet believed to be one of Blackbeard’s ships, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, continues to be surveyed and excavated. Current magnetometer surveys of a thirty by fifty foot section of the site reveals what could be an additional cannon in an area where four have already been recovered. This would be the nineteenth cannon found from this site so far.
