"Guilford County welcomes new transportation projects while its stronghold furniture industry keeps on giving." High Point's furniture and home interiors market events bring in $6.7 billion worth o business into the state and contributes 15,000 jobs. Thomas Built Buses added 300 new employees last year and is making progress on its Jouley electric powered model. Toyota is investing $5.6 billion in its electric battery plant near Liberty.
