Abstract:

Lucille George was owner of the Carolina Cafe in Rocky Mount from 1942-87. Her pecan butter pie made her an icon. Nephew Matt Kannan and wife Brandy recently recovered the recipe and after numerous taste testings have secured its authenticity.
