Abstract:
The struggle over innovation versus tradition is playing out at Duke University. Duke’s chapter of the National Association of Scholars (NAS) opposes some of the “radical” ideas the English Department is teaching. While some say the argument is over curriculum, others suggest the NAS is more concerned with the salaries as they believe the English Department is taking money away from their programs.
