Description
Several recordings on film spliced together. Included recordings are: color, sound, 1970- East end of Rawl Building, picture of tripod with two 'fedora' style hats resting on top; color, sound, n.d. (early-mid1970s)- Bearded man wearing a sweater standing on a boat, river in immediate background, landscape of a city in distance (possibly New Bern). Transitions to inside of a warehouse, to scuba divers wearing gear on the boat, transitions to people in business clothing on a school bus (Leo Jenkins is identified easily), bus stopped at an unidentified location that appears to be on the coast; color, n.d. (early 1970s)- Outside of Erwin Building on campus, winter campus scene, Joyner Library microfilm desk, outside the front of library, two people standing in the snow. Transitions to a color pencil drawing of an airport, then men sitting at a table at an unknown seafood restaurant; color, n.d. (early 1970s)- Man using a kiln, men sitting in classroom (do not appear to be students), sign "Executive Development Seminar;" color, n.d. (early 1970s)- ECU Playhouse sign "Man of La Mancha," transitions to sign on wall "ECU Marine Science Center;" color, n.d. (early 1970s)- Small clip of the Air Force ROTC; color, n.d. (early 1970s)- ECU Playhouse sign "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum;" color, n.d. (early 1970s)- ECU Playhouse sign "George M!;" color, n.d. (early 1970s)- Air Force ROTC student holding company "C" flag (flag background is blue with a yellow eagle). Young man on boat holding a 'tube' to his mouth, switches to a profile view; color, n.d. (early 1970s)- ECU Playhouse sign "The Pirates of Penzance", sign for "George M!" with summer theatre mailing address, sign for "Hello Dolly;" color, n.d. (early 1970s)- Very short clip of unknown man, very short clip of woman holding a paper bag outside wearing an overcoat, short clip of parade ground with Air Force ROTC administrator talking to a young female report. ECU Playhouse sign "George M!", summer theatre mailing address, sign "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum;" color, sound, n.d. (early 1970s)- Hand painted sign "East Carolina University - Division of Continuing Education". Very short clip of what appears to be a female Air Force ROTC cadet; color, n.d. (early 1970s)- Test tubes, man at desk (looks like a faculty member) who appears to be holding three leafs of marijuana (confederate flag in background and on desk); color, n.d. (early 1970s)- Man with a pottery kiln; color, n.d. (early 1970s)- Color pencil drawing of an unknown airport; color, n.d. (early 1970s)- Unknown business meeting, men wearing suits sitting at a long table. Several frames of the film are bleached, then too dark to view; color, n.d. (1970)- Telescope scene again. Clip of a half-moon, shadow of a street sign on pavement, large group of students with telescope, random license plates (year of tag dated film). Tags from Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas. Box on top of telescope "Bennett College". Run time 18:58. Date range estimated.
