- Three articles clipped from an unknown newspaper. One details the violence between African Americans and white citizens of Mayfield, Kentucky following the lynching of Jim Stone which resulted in the murder of the black, 18 year-old bystander Will Suett ; a strike of the employees of the Westend Street Railway Company in in Boston, Mass.; and a revolt of Turkish Troops in Constantinople. The beginning of a fourth article on wages of workers at the Carnegie Steel company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is also included.
