- A typed letter from Katie Murray in Chengchow [Zhengzhou], China, to Mrs. Wilburn and Miss Thompson. The women financially supported the Southern Baptist Mission in present-day Henan Province, China, where Katie Murry served. Murray thanks the two women for a monetary gift, explaining that it helped a Chinese woman to pay for her husband’s medical treatment. A native of North Carolina, Murray served as a Baptist missionary in China between 1927 and 1950, occasionally fleeing during times of war. She served her last years of missionary service in Taiwan between 1954 and 1959.
