Description
An unsigned letter from Katie Murray in China, to her family in the United States. Murray writes of the letters and news she has received from home; struggles with getting her students to bathe; visiting with Helen Bailey, a friend from North Carolina; and a woman who is split between duties to her family and her faith. A native of North Carolina, Murray served as a Baptist missionary in China between 1927 and 1950, occasionally fleeing during times of war. She served her last years of missionary service in Taiwan between 1954 and 1959.
