- Special Orders No. 20 from General Beauregard's Assistant Adjutant General, Hd-Quarters Dept. N. Carolina and So. Virginia, relieving Major Thomas Sparrow of duty and assigning him to a new command. From the papers of Thomas Sparrow (1819-1884), a lawyer from Washington, N.C. who fought in the Civil War and later represented Beaufort County in the North Carolina General Assembly.
