- Advertisement for Vegetine depicting two girls, one on either side of a large basket with a lid. The girl on the right is holding up the lid. Inside the basket is straw, a duck, and a lobster that is pinching the other girl. A sign above the picture states: Nature's Remedy, Vegetine The Great Blood Purifier. The reverse of the card states that "Vegetine is made exclusively from the juices of carefully selected barks, root and herbs". It is a remedy for scrofula, sciatica, tumors, erysipelas, rheumatism, neuralgia, gout, skin diseases, backache, kidney complaints, dropsy, female weakness, catarrh, dyspepsia, headache, and as a blood purifier.
