- Advertisement for Vegetine depicting two young girls, one sitting on the floor and holding a Jack in the Box while the other girl stoops to look at the toy. The Jack in the Box is holding a bottle of Vegetine. The heading is: Vegetine The Great Blood Purifier. In very tiny print on the lower right corner is: Forbes Co., Boston & N.Y. The reverse of the card states that Vegetine is for female weakness, scrofula, erysipelas, rheumatism, dyspepsia, liver complaints, and diseases of the blood. [Prepared by H.R.
