Written on the scroll is: The Best Tonic invigorating and Nutritious. Insures a healthy appetite. Aids digestion and Strengthens the system. A sash around her waist has the word "Hygeia". Across the top is: The Best Tonic. Across the bottom is: A Concentrated Liquid Extract of Malt and Hops. At the bottom lower right in tiny print is: Julius Bien & Co., Lith. The reverse of the card states that The Best Tonic "cures dyspepsia, strengthens the system, priceless to nursing mothers, the most wholesome table beverage".
