Description: Photograph of Dr. Milton D. Quigless of Tarboro, North Carolina. Dr. Quigless received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College and later established a medical practice in Tarboro, North Carolina. In December 1947, he opened Quigless Clinic in Tarboro and served primarily African American patients who could not receive medical care at the hospital due to segregation. The clinic had a 26-bed capacity and an outpatient department.
