Description: One DVD contains 581 images of photographs and documents related to the life of William Haydock Fillmore (1893-1966). Mr. Fillmore founded and operated the Fillmore Flying Service in Oakland, California, in the late 1920s through the 1930s, was a barnstormer, a commanding officer in the Army Air Corps during World Wars I and II and the Korean War, and retired to a farm named Chosumneda in Edgecombe County. The photographs cover his interest in and involvement in early aviation, his military career, the Fillmore Flying Service, and the Chosumneda farm. Please note that ECU does not own the physical photographs. Digital copies only were donated to the library.
